Can I book for less than a week?
Outside high season, yes, on request. In July, August and around Christmas Peter lets by the whole week. For short stays you can also book De Windroos and Atelier aan Zee through Booking.com; you can also enquire with Peter directly.
Are pets welcome?
By arrangement, gladly. The cost is €30 per stay. Just say in your enquiry which animal you are bringing and Peter will sort it out with you; there are also chickens on the property.
Is De Windroos really wheelchair accessible?
Yes, De Windroos is entirely on one level and every room can be reached in a wheelchair. Do you have specific needs? Mention them in your enquiry; Peter is glad to help you work it out.
Do I need to bring bed linen?
You can bring your own bed linen, or hire a linen set per person for €15 (sheet, duvet cover and pillowcase). Duvets and pillows are always provided.
Can we rent two houses at once with a big family?
Yes. De Windroos (4 people) and Atelier aan Zee (3 people) are in the same building and can be booked together to sleep seven.
How do I get there without a car?
The bus stop is 25 metres from the property, with a direct line to Alkmaar; you can check in on the bus with your bank card. There are free bikes to borrow on the property, and a bike hire shop is 50 metres away.
What are the arrival and departure times?
De Windroos changes over on Friday (arrival from 3 pm, departure before 10 am), Atelier aan Zee on Saturday (3 pm / 10 am) and Roos & Linde on Saturday (4 pm / 11 am). A late check-out until 6 pm costs €50, if the schedule allows.
